In essence he said that there is a finite amount of iron on this planet, which I believe all would agree with. He then goes on to say, there is iron in our blood, where was it before it was  in our blood and where does it go when our form ceases to exist. We are truly amazing. You could have planted a thousand sticks and not gotten one piece of fruit, but you were still long enough to HEAR the life stirring in that one.
