After eleven months of taking five abusive medical drugs to rid my body of a deadly virus (won't know for four more months if the treatment worked), I know the truth of Campbell's statement in my bones...

I love reading Joseph Campbell. One of my favorite quotes by him is "It is by going down into the abyss that we recover the treasures of life. Where you stumble, there lies your treasure."

That Joseph Campbell spoke such good sense, didn't he? And who is nudging the Universe to test us in this way? Could it be us?
A true and wonderful quote. I don't think the Universe strikes or attacks us, however it does present lessons to us and the lessons are designed to strengthen our weak areas and to help us grow.
Hmmm...I have something to think hard about now.
