Constructive Interference, and why Your Thoughts Matter

Constructive Interference is one of the fundamental principles of energy.

Basically, and simplistically it has to do with the "coherent influence of multiple radiators."* What this means is, when multiple sound waves combine, the individual waves make a bigger wave.

Now, this sounds very simple and clear and obvious.

What is more important, and less obvious is that the power is, "proportional to the square of the height of that combined wave." * Stated another way, put any group of coherent radiators together and the waves grow proportionally to the square of the number of them.

For example... if you move five loudspeakers together, the radiated power is, not five times more powerful than one loudspeaker, but twenty five times more powerful than one loudspeaker.

In other words, if waves of energy are cohered, they do not double in power but increase by the square of the number of radiators.

So why is this important? What does this fundamental principle of constructive interference have to do with goodness?

If our thoughts are energy, could it be that cohered thoughts are more powerful than we think?

Research is beginning to show this is reality. Our thoughts, when cohered may become more powerful than we think.

If two people are meditating together, and the energy of their thoughts cohere, it appears the power does not double, it increases by four. If three people are meditation with cohered thoughts, the power seems to increase by nine. Four people create a power sixteen times that of an individual, and so forth.

What is highly significant about this is the possibility that it it would take only a very small number of thoughts cohered to make huge differences. Research is showing about 1% of a population is enough to have a repeatable and measurable effect on the larger population. *

So, to make a change in a larger population, we take the cohered thoughts of the square root of the number of that population. For example, in the United States the population is approximately 300 million. The square root of 300 million is only 1,732.

Extrapolating this idea of constructive interference, it could be that only 1,732 people with cohered thoughts can make a collective change in the energy or wave patterns of the entire United States.

The world's population is something like 6.5 billion people. The square root of 6.5 billion is only, 80,622.

It seem possible, perhaps likely, that only 80,622 people with cohered thoughts of peace, goodness, respect, decency, kindness, and love could change the world as we know it.

Do your thoughts matter?
