My Vision of a New World

Somewhere deep in my heart, and in the very essence of my being I see a magical world... a world filled with peace and joy and holiness.

Perhaps it is a dream, or perhaps it is a hope.... it could even be just a wish. I do not know, but I hold it in my heart as a vision of what is possible.

I not know what will come next in this amazing story of which we are a part. But I feel quite certain the universe is requiring the imagination, creativity, and vision of our species in order to find a way to heal our world.

And so, I share my vision.

In this world of my imagination....

In the world of my imagination, the brilliant waters are sparkling clean, the air is fresh and pure, and the earth is nourishing and alive.

The creatures of our earth are honored for their unique contribution to all of life.

In my imagination I see a world where children can safely play and dance and sing; where their laughter sprinkles the planet with joy; where their exploration, curiosity, and wonder are cherished and encouraged.

In this world the elderly are treasured for their wisdom, their stability, and their understanding. They are honored for the journey they have taken, and the life they have passed on.

I see a world where those less able to manage alone, who are in need of additional support and care, are loved, cherished, and treated with dignity, respect, and tenderness.

In my imaginary world, women do not have to disrobe to feel valuable or be valued, nor do they have to cover their unique faces, with veils or cosmetics. Their full creativity and essence are allowed to restore harmony and balance to the world. The human body is not degraded, exploited, or used, but is valued and honored as a vehicle for bringing life, goodness, and care into the world.

In this world, men are honored for their character and goodness not their position, power, and possession. The superficial status arising from greed and dominance has been replaced by a reverence for the good and virtuous.

I see a world where everyone has a family… a nuclear family that supports, accepts, nourishes, and loves them; and an extended family of neighborhoods and communities, cities and nations, all working together forming a diverse, creative, unique planetary home.

In this world, the very idea of war is a memory of times past. The thought of destroying our earth and each other is non-existent. Abuse is unknown.

It is a world where religions unite rather than divide; bring hope rather than fear; and embrace acceptance rather than judgments. A world where religions bring and extend love and understanding to all the world regardless of race, gender, faith traditions, or ethnicity.

I see a world where tenderness, gentleness, and compassion are valued more than ego, control, and power; where being kind is more important than being right; where courtesy, civility, and decency are the way of the human.

In this world, we hear the soft and profound voices of the meek, the humble, and the aware, bringing us more light; eliminating the promotion of the unholy, unhealthy, and hurtful.

In this world of my imagination, the sorrow, heartache, pain, and loneliness of life are encompassed by love and compassion, and transformed into peace and serenity.

And in the world of my imagination, in my dream… everyone has a friend.

Love to all,

Jennifer

Hi Jennifer,
You have a fantastic vision.

"We can do much better than we are now doing, regardless of our present level of achievement."

"Success starts with a dream, a thought; but that's only the first step. Writing it down is the second step. Doing one specific thing to bring it about is the third step."

May this vision be fulfilled in due time.

Best Wishes

You write: "In this world of my imagination, the sorrow, heartache, pain, and loneliness of life are encompassed by love and compassion, and transformed into peace and serenity." I feel that these particular words lie at the heart of this wonderful vision of yours. If the human race can transform the hurt in our hearts, then all else will follow.

Heaven is not far. It is just a breath away says Josh Groban.I'll be moving there soon. " The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams" say Eleonor Roosevelt. I love your post.

Jennifer - I want to go live in your world. I started to write a post on a vision of what I would like the world to be but I want to envision some more. Our leaders don't talk in grand visionary way enough and that is a shame. How do we get to the things you mentioned unless you hold them up as a goal. The only thing keeping us from having that nirvana is ourselves

Hi Moondanzer....

One of the most powerful aspects of this tag is the "thinking" about it!

Just the exercise of exploring, imagining, and contemplating opens new possibilities!

Thank you for your kindness...

Lots and lots of love,

jennifer

Hi John,

Thank you so much for thinking, contemplating, exploring, and imagining.

I truly think the process of discovering what our vision is, is a powerful tool to bring a new world into reality!

IOW, without a clear idea of what it is we would like, it is unlikely we will find a way to get there. :-)

The more we come to know what it is we want to create, the more we can find a way to create it!

Thank you John... I look forward to your thoughts and vision!

Blessings and joy,

Jen

Jennifer,
No one could say it better. You are a visionary, and a beautiful soul. I am sorry to have been absent from your blog (and my own) for so long. It is a very busy period for me, and I haven't been able to devote time to blogging...

But, during this absence I have been pondering your meme, and wondering if I had anything to add. Then, the way these things sometimes happen, I stopped thinking and instead listened to my heart. Suddenly, I knew with utmost certainty that my contribution to the meme would be to share with you what I see as the perfection of each and every moment...for I believe that each moment is already perfect. That we are sometimes blind to this perfection does not negate its truth. No moment in time can be other than it is. Every moment embodies all that is possible -- all that is wonderful and all that is not. To see this perfection we must open our hearts and be unafraid to share our love in the face of what often seems a less-than-perfect reality. In that moment -- when our love embraces all, and we are likewise embraced by love -- we can see the perfection that has always been and will always be our world.

Hi Eric...

I've missed you!

I'm so happy to have your beautiful thoughts... thank you for sharing them.

I've pondered your words at some length.. they are profound, and deeply inspiring to me.

I do not always remember the truth of which you speak... (sigh), so your comments are most important, wise and filled with light for me. Thank you so much for this Eric!

And, I most humbly thank you for your kind compliment and encouragment. It means the world!

Blessings and deepest gratitude,

Jen
