Martin Luther King had a dream. He dreamed of a country where men of all races would be considered and valued as equal human beings. His dream is becoming a reality.
What is your dream for our world?
Do you dream of a world where men and women are valued and respected as equal human beings? Do you dream of a world without war? A world where children do not starve to death? A world where everyone has a home? A world where humankind can live together regardless of their religious beliefs or faith traditions? A world when the young and old are valued as gifts to our universe?
The world needs our dreams. It needs the visions of goodness we each hold in our hearts.
Everything that was ever created by humans was first imagined. What can we imagine? I believe if we hold the vision of peace and goodness in our hearts and minds, we will find a way to bring this vision into a reality.
To change our world, we have to let ourselves dream. We have to see possibilities. We can't give up. We can't waste our efforts and energy. We can't ignore the beauty of even one life nor can we afford to remain indifferent to our difficulties.
As we remember Martin Luther King and his dream, my hope is we will follow his example and dream, dream, dream!
